A favorite sight in the garden, in the woods, or at the birdfeeder, the Chickadee is a year-round visitor in much of North America, because they don't migrate. They are known for more than just their sweet plumage and distinctive call, though: chickadees hide different types of food in different locations, can remember thousands of hiding places.
The Black-capped Chickadee is the state bird of Maine and Massachusetts.
All Danforth Pewter ornaments are handcrafted in our Middlebury, Vermont studio. Made in the USA from the finest pewter. Dimensions are approximate because all items are made by hand. Subtle variations are natural.
