Wildflower Painted Maine Mushroom - Dawn Kenealy Art
These beautiful treasures were created by artist and special education teacher Dawn Kenealy. Each shelf mushroom was foraged in the Maine woods. After harvesting, the mushrooms are dried and prepped for painting in Dawn's home in Buckfield. Once the mushroom is ready, she paints Maine wildlife scenes on these beautiful canvases that nature has provided. She uses Birch Polypores, Artist Conks, Red Belted Polypores, Reishi Mushrooms and Tinder Conks. Foraging for these future pieces of art has become a family affair.
